    Infiniti FX Update for 2012

Minor updates are in store for the 2012 Infiniti FX – a slight redesign at the front, some new color schemes and new wheels. At the same time, prices remain largely unchanged.

A new profile of the front bumper means a new look. The grille has also been altered and now resembles the one which was fist seen on the 2009 Infiniti Essence concept car. The GT and GT Premium line get new five double-spoke design 20-inch wheels. The S range on the other hand, remains with the previous, distinctive 21-inch set. That being said, S models are now available with Rear Active Steering (RAS) and a ton of other handling enhancing features. Iridium Blue and Graphite Shadow are the newly available body colors for all the FX models.

From here on the details about the models are kind of mushy but here goes nothing: The GT range comes with two V6 engines – one is a 3.0 liter diesel (FX30d GT) that develops 235bhp and the impressive 550Nm of torque. 31.4 mpg on the combined cycle make that one the choice for eco-minded customers. The second one is a 3.7 liter petrol unit (FX37 GT) that brings 316bhp to the wheels. Whichever FX GT you might choose, they will both have the complete luxury package.

The S range features those aforementioned as well with the addition of an FX50 S model which carries a V8 385bhp 5.0-litre. While every other choice, be that GT or S, can be further enhanced by a “Premium” package, the FX50 S comes strictly as a Premium. Overall, one can easily tell the difference between GT and S models – The driver oriented S have bigger rims, Rear Active Steering (except the FX37), and Continuous Damping Control. Smoked headlights, red S badging and dark chrome exterior air vent and sill strip just to name a few more S signs.

To wrap it up, we are going to end with something that all FX models share – an intelligent torque-sensing AWD system. It gets its power from the 7-speed adaptive shift automatic transmission and magnesium paddle shifters on the wheel make changing gear a charm.  Get yourself a Premium version on whichever FX and there’s going to be a 30GB HDD navigation and Bose® Premium Sound System as standard.   Infiniti FX 35 UBI Intake Kit

    2012 Infiniti FX

The 2012 Infiniti FX ranks 5 out of 18 Luxury Midsize SUVs. This ranking is based on our analysis of 24 published reviews and test drives of the Infiniti FX, and our analysis of reliability and safety data.
Test drivers say that the 2012 Infiniti FX puts the “sport” in “sport utility vehicle,” but shoppers in the market for a practical luxury family hauler will be disappointed.
There’s no question that driving the 2012 Infiniti FX is like driving a sports car on stilts. Reviewers can’t get over the way it handles the curves they throw at it, especially in models equipped with all-wheel drive. The FX50’s V8 engine may not be as refined as rivals from BMW and Porsche, but it packs just as big of a punch. And the FX’s interior upholds Infiniti’s reputation for combining advanced technology with high-quality materials and workmanship.
However, the Infiniti FX’s sports car nature may prove to be its downfall among SUV shoppers. Though it’s priced with other midsize luxury crossovers, it can’t hold nearly as much stuff or as many people as some of its competitors. The tightly-calibrated suspension is meant to give the FX sporty handling on twisty roads, but many test drivers note that anyone who has to drive over less-than-perfect pavement each day will quickly tire from the resulting harsh ride.
If a sports-oriented SUV with loads of power and an outstanding interior is on your shopping list, test drivers say the Infiniti FX is a fantastic choice. However, if you prefer a comfortable commuter with plenty of space for passengers and cargo, you’ll probably want to check out other luxury SUVs instead.

The FX35 doesn’t just kick into gear and plod along. Instead, it fires up and breezes by. That is the essence of this ultimate luxury crossover. Although it does pack a pretty mean punch, it’s also an extremely alluring sight, beholding a sleek body shape that sweeps down to underline its burly persona.  An Infiniti FX35 Grill highlights this visual wonder, taking hold front-and-center with bold distinction. If this is the effect you are gunning for then you’ve come to the right place! CARiD.com houses the finest selection of Infiniti FX35 Grills available anywhere, including all of the top-line manufacturers you need to trust when it comes to premier quality. Whether you want to add on to the luxurious image or lock on a more sizzling suggestion, we have the custom Infiniti FX35 Grill for you. Don’t hesitate to jump on board. This is where your FX35 comes alive!

    Infiniti FX35 Chrome Trim

The Infiniti FX is a big crossover with sporty handling and responsive engines.  Designed for performance and style, it avoids the boxy proportions of traditional SUVs. It offers some usable cargo space, but not as much back-seat room and cargo space as the boxier SUVs, in spite of its large size.
We find the wild styling appealing. Certainly, it’s not bland.
And it runs like a bionic cheetah. The FX is based on the same platform as the Nissan Z and Infiniti G sports cars. All-wheel drive is available, but it’s a rear-wheel-drive platform, meaning sporty. (Note the FX has nothing in common with the Nissan Murano, which is a front-wheel-drive vehicle built on an entirely different platform, a common misperception.) Primary competition for the Infiniti FX line comes from the rear-wheel-drive BMW X6, which comes at a higher price point.
    The Infiniti FX35 comes with a 303-horsepower 3.5-liter V6, while the FX50 features a 390-hp 5.0-liter V8. Fuel economy for the FX35 is an EPA-estimated 16/23 mpg City/Highway; the FX35 AWD is rated 16/21 mpg, and the FX50 AWD is rated 14/20 mpg.

Whether in the blazing sunlight or underneath the bright lights of the big city, Infiniti FX35/FX45 Chrome Trim shines with elegance and personality. Few aftermarket additions are as simple or defining, and CARiD is here with an exclusive inventory of the very best Infiniti FX35 Chrome Accessories to prove it. Pillar Posts, Port Holes, and more are available nonstop. Pick the glistening chrome accent that works for your ride. All of our Infiniti FX35 Chrome Trim comes from world-class manufacturers who use nothing but the most durable materials. That means you get the everlasting fit-and-finish you expect – guaranteed. Installation is never a hassle, as well. Infiniti FX35 Chrome Accessories are backed with automotive-strength 3M adhesive to provide a simple “stick on” application that fits with OEM-precision. Infiniti News.

Infiniti moving production out of Japan to counter strong yen.  Being a global automaker means having to deal with the rising and falling tides of currency. The climate is particularly difficult in Japan, where the yen is valued at record levels compared to the American dollar. Since a giant chunk of Japanese automotive exports are shipped off to America, that means greatly diminished profits.
As of the end of 2011, Infiniti, Nissan’s in-house luxury marque, doesn’t build any vehicles outside of it home country of Japan, though the QX full-size SUV was built in the United States for a time. That’s all about to change, however, starting with the Infiniti JX crossover that’s slated for production in early 2012 in Smyrna, Tennessee.
Soon, more models will be built outside of Japan. “As cars come up for renewal, generally they’re being relocated in a function of where the majority of sales are,” said Andy Palmer, executive vice president of Infiniti, speaking to Automotive News. We’d guess, then, that the upcoming small hatchback from Infiniti, which is said to be inspired by the Etherea Concept, will be built in Europe.
Even models that continue to be assembled in Japan – important, says Palmer, because, “Part of the myth of Infiniti is Japanese craftsmanship…” – will feature more parts imported from outside the country. Currently, Infiniti averages about 15 percent imported parts content for vehicles assembled in Japan, but the automaker is targeting a new goal of 65 percent “non-yen” content.
If production outside Japan goes well, expect the trend of Japanese brands building more and more vehicles beyond its borders to continue as automakers look to bolster profits in the face of a strong yen. “Somebody in this industry has got to demonstrate that you can make luxury outside of Germany and Japan successfully over time,” concludes Palmer. We’re guessing he doesn’t mean Cadillac…

Infiniti EX Accessories and Parts are a main part of our inventory at CARiD.com. We feature nothing less than the highest quality options for you to choose from because we know premier workmanship and a precise OEM fit are what count the most. All the Infiniti accessories and parts are right here: wood dash kits, spoilers,

Infiniti exhaust systems, grille guards, floor mats. the list goes on and on. Give your SUV that added twinkle of personality that sets it apart. You won’t regret it!

    2013 Infiniti JX.

2013 Infiniti JX crosses over into the big leagues. Few automakers make crossovers quite like Nissan does.  And that extends to its luxury division Infiniti, as well. Infiniti crossovers tend to be, well… rather small. The FX combined a sportscar with a crossover long before BMW thought of the X6, and the EX is barely bigger than most hatchbacks. Want something bigger from Infiniti? That’d be the QX, but it’s a proper truck-based SUV, and that behemoth just isn’t for everyone. Enter the JX.  Previewed in concept form at Pebble Beach back in August, the JX35 is now set to make its production debut at the upcoming LA Auto Show. Its design incorporates themes laid down by the Essence show car, but in a much larger form that encompasses three rows of seating for seven coddled souls. The JX is also jam-packed with luxury features and the latest technology you’d expect from a Japanese luxury automobile. That includes the usual suspects: adaptive cruise control, cameras all around, lane-departure warning and a Bose sound system. There’s also a new industry-first safety system that warns the driver and even stops the vehicle if something scurries across its path while backing up.

Infiniti is well-known for the classy brand of athleticism and sport they’ve brought to the luxury segment. And each Infiniti model is an example of this swift brand of design and engineering. So when it comes time for Infiniti drivers to focus on the aftermarket adjustments that represent their way of life, where do you think is the first place they look? The front! CARiD.com is here and we have just what they need! We cover a full spectrum of Infiniti Grills that add even more class onto every model! Comprised of nothing but the most durable and refined materials around, you can depend on our selection of Infiniti Grills to not only present a captivating and alluring image, but to also withstand the test of time.
Infiniti is not like most luxury brands. These vehicles are capable of so much more than the usual – and you know it. That means they have to be treated accordingly. We’ll give you the world-class quality to back it up. Just give us your trust. When it comes to the Infiniti Grills you’re looking for to raise the bar even higher, CARiD.com is always here with just what you need.

    Infiniti News.

Infiniti has released details of the updates to its 2012 FX crossover, including changes to the front fascia that reviewers are raving about. “It’s a HUGE improvement,” says Edmunds Inside Line’s Straightline.
This facelift comes with a price increase of $850 for rear- and all-wheel drive FX35 models, and $1,750 for the FX50. But most new buyers won’t feel the pinch too much. “According to the automaker, ‘popularly equipped’ models wear the same price tags in 2012 as they did in 2011,” reports Autoblog.
The 2012 Infiniti FX35 with rear-wheel drive will start at $43,450, while all-wheel drive FX35 models will start at $44,900. The FX50, which comes standard with all-wheel drive, will start at $59,350.
Besides an updated appearance, all 2012 FX models will also include the Infiniti Personal Assistant, which is a personal concierge service available 24 hours per day. This service will provide features similar to GM’s OnStar, like directions and weather alerts, but will also be able to suggest dining options, local entertainment and even book travel arrangements. The Infiniti Personal Assistant will be free for the first four years, though Infiniti hasn’t said how much a subscription will cost after that.
The automaker will also offer a limited-edition version of the FX35 all-wheel drive, starting at $51,550. Only 550 vehicles will be made, so if you’re hankering for an AWD FX35 in “Iridium Blue” with 21-inch aluminum

Infiniti wheels, roof rails and blue-piped graphite floor mats, contact your dealer sooner rather than later.
If you’re in the market for a luxury midsize SUV with sports-car performance, striking sheetmetal and a high-tech interior, it doesn’t get much better than the Infiniti FX. Still, its back seat and cargo room are on the small side for the class. Buyers looking for a truly utilitarian luxury family hauler will do better to take a look at the Acura MDX. With a $42,930 starting price for 2011 models, it’s $330 more than base 2011 FX35 models, but comes standard with all-wheel drive and offers seating for seven instead of the Infiniti’s five. Plus, its maximum of 83 cubic feet of cargo space handily beats the Infiniti FX’s maximum capacity of 62 cubic feet.

    Infiniti FX Review.

    Infiniti FX

    Image via Wikipedia

The 2011 Infiniti FX ranks 3 out of 17 Luxury Midsize SUVs. This ranking is based on our analysis of 19 published reviews and test drives of the Infiniti FX, and our analysis of reliability and safety data.
The 2011 Infiniti FX is a great choice is you want a sporty, stylish and high-tech crossover SUV.  But, if you’re looking for family-SUV practicality, look elsewhere.
Three things set the 2011 Infiniti FX apart from the luxury midsize SUV pack: its high-tech safety features, sporty performance and fashion-forward styling. “If gizmos are your thing — along with unique looks, solid handling and luxury surroundings — then this Japanese luxury/sport crossover is tailormade for you,” writes Road and Track.
However, the FX isn’t made for everyone. That sporty ride is due in part to a taut suspension.  While that’s great for thrashing country roads, it can make for a rough ride on daily commutes.  The FX’s looks good, but it’s sort of like dating a supermodel; those looks get your heart racing, but they aren’t a firm foundation for a long-term, family relationship. The FX has coupe-like styling.  It looks great but cuts into passenger and cargo space. If you’re looking for a family SUV, or routinely carry adult passengers, you‘ll want to shop the competition. Infiniti Cargo Liners.

CARiD presents an expansive selection of top-quality Cargo Liners perfect for upping the level of protection inside your vehicle. Cargo Liners are mats designed to defend your Car, Truck, or SUV’s cargo and trunk areas. Here is where to find yours.

    Infiniti FX Sebastian.

The Infiniti FX has always been a bit of a wild child in the premium crossover segment. It has a polarizing exterior style, and it’s capable of reaching illegal speeds rather quickly.  Infiniti has partnered up with Formula One racer Sebastian Vettel to make it even more extreme, and the result is the (rather blandly named) Infiniti FX Sebastian Vettel Version.
What does it take for a F1 star to apply his moniker to anything other than a sports car? Money. Serious upgrades to the overall performance of the vehicle. Vettel worked with Infiniti engineers to transform the FX50 into a lower, sleeker machine. The vehicle sits 20 millimeters lower and wears aero bits that help improve its coefficient of drag by 30 percent.
Those changes are rather welcome because Vettel wanted the FX bearing his name to hit a pretty impressive speed target. The goal was 300 kilometers per hour (186 miles per hour), and this Infiniti FX Vettel Version is capable of achieving that mark.
Engineers were able to squeeze an additional 30 horsepower out of the 5.0-liter V8, bringing total output up to 414 horses. This was done by way of a new exhaust system and reflashing the the engine’s computer. Still, 186 mph is a tough task for a bulky vehicle like the FX, so taller gearing was called for. Despite this, Infiniti says the Vettel FX manages to run from 0-60 miles per hour quicker than the standard FX50.

There is no mistaking the luxurious presence Infiniti inflicts on the scene. Up and down the roster, Infiniti models feel the warm embrace of the spotlight. Finding an Infiniti Spoiler that lights up the profile even more is never easier when at CARiD.com! We invite you into our selection of Infiniti Spoilers that crank up the style on your ride in a big way. From subtle and suggestive luxury to sizzling and intense attitude, we host the application you’re looking for to get the job done. You want top-quality materials. Perfectly understandable. Don’t sweat it, because that’s what we specialize in, including ABS plastic and fiberglass. There are some custom additions that make a slight difference, while there are others that can absolutely explode a vehicle’s presence. Guess which category a spoiler falls under…
A custom Infiniti Spoiler wields an awful lot of power. It is like a creative brushstroke that sweeps across the vehicle, instantly illuminating its presence to the world in a different light. This is the type of aftermarket ingredient which always delivers. Visit our inventory today to get on board with the passionate accent no one fails to notice!

    Infiniti FX50.

Infiniti previews Sebastian Vettel edition FX ahead of Frankfurt debut. With 390 horsepower on tap and a five-second 0-60 time, the Infiniti FX50 crossover really doesn’t need much in the performance department.   But merely “fast enough” isn’t a term you’d commonly associate with Sebastian Vettel.
The defending Formula One World Champion drives an FX in his down time, serves as Infiniti’s brand ambassador and has lent a capable hand or two in the development of the latest concept car coming out of the Nissan luxury division. The special Vettel edition has been anticipated for a few months now, but will finally be unveiled at the rapidly approaching Frankfurt Motor Show next month.
Just what specifications the special edition will encompass remains to be seen, as the short press release after the jump is conspicuously light on details, but from the solitary image released so far, we can tell it looks like one very mean performance crossover, with new aero bits, lighting, wheels and badging among the changes.

No one beats CARiD when it comes to Infiniti FX50 Accessories and parts. We recruit ever major manufacturer in the game to stock our inventory full of the hottest and highest quality options just for you. All of our Infiniti FX50 accessories and parts are guaranteed to provide a concise OEM fit along with unstoppable durability. Grilles, dash kits, chrome trim, floor mats, Infiniti steering wheels and much more are right here waiting for your discovery.
